Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Underwriter to join our team at RPS. As an Underwriter, you will play a critical role in evaluating risks, developing tailored insurance solutions, and ensuring profitability for the organization. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on specialty insurance products.

How you'll make an impact

• Underwrites individual insurance applications to cover property and casualty with guidelines set for the issuance of policies on a standard or substandard basis.
• Determines whether to accept, modify or decline a risk through evaluation of the property's value, location, usage, and safety features, and other information pertinent to the decision.
• Has frequent contact with field to gather information on which to base and defend underwriting decisions.
• Does not have any assigned Production goals.
• May provide support to Underwriter Senior in servicing and management of accounts.

About You

Required: Bachelor's degree and 2 years related experience required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications and Microsoft Office.

We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
