This organization is expanding its advanced manufacturing capabilities and is seeking a Principal or Senior SCADA Controls Engineer to support a brand-new, state-of-the-art 400,000 sq. ft. facility overseeing a $34 billion product line.
Position Summary
The SCADA Controls Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, optimization, and maintenance of SCADA systems used to monitor automated assembly and manufacturing lines. This role plays a critical part in ensuring efficient operations, real-time data visibility, and process optimization across the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement SCADA systems for automated manufacturing environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize OEE, yield, and control of critical process parameters
- Configure and deploy SCADA hardware / software including HMIs, PLCs, and communication protocols
- Develop dashboards, reports, and 2D / 3D graphics for HMI / SCADA systems
- Troubleshoot system malfunctions and support integration between PLCs and SCADA
- Partner with IT to ensure cybersecurity and data integrity of SCADA systems
- Analyze real-time and historical data to drive process improvements
- Document system configurations and provide training to operators and maintenance teams
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fieldPrincipal Level : 9+ years of experience in SCADA, Controls, or Automation EngineeringSenior Level : 6+ years of experience in SCADA, Controls, or Automation EngineeringProficiency in SCADA platforms (preferably Ignition) and Allen Bradley PLCsStrong understanding of network design, cybersecurity, and PC hardwareSkilled in Microsoft Excel and Windows Server environmentsWhy Join Us?
