Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Assembler who will be responsible for brazing copper to copper piping using an oxyacetylene torch. Each unit is custom-built to meet customer specifications, requiring precision in cutting and brazing piping. The role involves working from blueprints and assisting in the assembly of housing units for these racks. This position requires physical activity throughout the day, including bending, kneeling, and twisting.

Responsibilities

• Brazing copper to copper piping using an oxyacetylene torch.
• Cutting piping to specified lengths and assembling according to customer requirements.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints to guide assembly processes.
• Assisting in the assembly of housing units for racks.
• Engaging in physical activities such as bending, kneeling, and twisting throughout the day.

Work Environment

The work is conducted in a large manufacturing building, where units are built in teams of 3-4 people. It is a fast-paced, well-lit environment that is kept clean despite the nature of the work. Working hours are from 5 : 00am to 3 : 30pm, Monday to Thursday. Although there is no air conditioning, fans are used to maintain airflow. Steel-toed shoes and long pants are mandatory attire.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dayton, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00 / hr.
