Travel Nurse Job Details Location : Columbus, Ohio 43205 (Ohio nursing jobs) Unit : Cardiovascular Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (CVPICU) Position : PICU Registered Nurse – Travel Contract Assignment Type : Travel RN Start Date : November 10, 2025 End Date : February 9, 2026 Contract Duration : 13 weeks Estimated Weekly Pay : $2,470 - $2,540 Shift : 12-hour day shifts (07 : 00 – 19 : 30), 3 shifts per week Weekly Hours : 36 Patient Ratios : 1 : 2 Weekend Coverage : Required Floating : Required to NICU, PICU, ED, stepdown, and med-surg units as needed PICU RN Qualifications Active Ohio or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be in hand at time of application) Minimum 2 years of recent PICU or CVPICU nursing experience in a 30-bed or larger unit Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required Two supervisory references required (at least one from a manager or supervisor) Cannot have worked permanent staff at the facility within the past 2 years No local candidates (must reside outside a 60-mile radius of Columbus, OH) Clinical proficiency in arterial line management, chest tube care, intubation assistance, BiPAP / CPAP, ventilator management, central line care, pediatric dosage calculations, high flow nasal cannula, hemodynamic monitoring, ABG and dysrhythmia interpretation, IV vasopressors, tracheostomy care, and post-cardiac surgery care Pediatric ICU Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to pediatric patients with complex cardiac and critical care needs Monitor and manage ventilators, arterial lines, chest tubes, and advanced pediatric equipment Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV therapy, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services Float to other critical care and acute care units as required, adapting to diverse patient populations Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record Provide patient and family education, supporting families through challenging healthcare situations Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols to ensure optimal patient outcomes Apply now to join our healthcare team as a travel PICU Registered Nurse in Columbus, Ohio.
