Varicent SME / Solutions Architect

We are seeking a Varicent Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support and enhance our Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) platform. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Varicent ICM architecture, configuration, and operations, and will play a key role in delivering scalable, accurate, and efficient compensation solutions.

Responsibilities

Design, configure, and maintain Varicent ICM modules including Composer, Calculations, Reports, Web Forms, Schedules, Model Building, System Configuration, ETL, and Security.

Build scalable Varicent models and ensure data integrity across all compensation processes.

Develop automated ETL workflows and integrate Varicent with internal and external databases and systems.

Troubleshoot calculation logic, model performance, data issues, and access / security controls.

Partner with cross‑functional teams to define business requirements and deliver enhancements.

Ensure development aligns with Agile methodology, participating in sprint planning, standups, and reviews.

Collaborate with teams using Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Jenkins, and Git for development, documentation, and CI / CD processes.

Deliver high‑quality documentation and provide user support / training as needed.

Drive continuous improvement of Varicent capabilities and compensation operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience).

Hands on experience with Varicent ICM, including end to end model development and administration.

Expertise in Composer, calculations, reporting, workflow scheduling, ETL pipelines, security configuration, and system integrations.

Advanced understanding of data modeling, SQL, and performance optimization in Varicent.

Solid experience working in Agile environments.

Proficiency with development / infrastructure tools : Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Git.

Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.

Proven ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative team environment.

Experience in large scale enterprise incentive compensation environments.

Familiarity with SaaS compensation platforms and enterprise system integrations.

Background in networking, technology, or sales operations.
