Civil Litigation Associates 7+ Years

AMC is hiring associate attorneys for the Labor & Employment practice group, and the Insurance Coverage & Bad Faith Litigation practice group. Preferred candidates have 7+ years experience handling every aspect of litigation and coverage matters; must possess strong analytical, research and writing skills; be a self-starter with a commitment to providing superior service to clients, producing high quality work product, and maintaining a teamwork atmosphere. Must be eligible to practice law in California (license in Arizona and / or Nevada would be a plus) and reside in Southern California, although the position allows for the flexibility of a hybrid workspace. AMC offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Must reside in Southern California; hybrid work schedule available.

• Responsibilities
• Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as Westlaw to support case preparation.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents with precision and attention to detail.
• Negotiate settlements and represent clients in court hearings and trials.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and prepare for litigation.
• Manage case files, ensuring all documentation is organized and up-to-date.
• Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates on case progress and address any concerns.
• Stay informed about changes in laws relevant to practice areas.
• Qualifications
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Strong knowledge of civil litigation processes and procedures.
• Experience in labor and employment | coverage
• Proficient in legal research tools such as Westlaw.
• Exceptional negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients.
• Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
