Senior AN / BYG-1 Combat Control System Technician

Transitioning military and veteran US Navy Fire Control Technician's are encouraged to apply! Amentum is seeking a Senior AN / BYG-1 Combat Control System Technician to support efforts at Submarine Base New London in Groton, CT. This is a full-time position and will allow you to continue providing hands-on support to some of the most sophisticated equipment the navy has.

Essential Responsibilities :

• Assist with test and evaluation; perform validations / verifications of AN / BYG-1 systems
• Assist in accomplishing Engineering Change Instructions (ECI)
• Develop technical / engineering data for Planned Maintenance Systems, technical manuals, troubleshooting procedures, drawing updates, operation procedures, and maintainability improvements
• Support systems engineering activities with subject matter expertise
• Interface directly with the on-site customer for equipment / systems installation, testing, survey, fabrication, and other engineering tasks as needed
• Comply with engineering documentation standards, engineering plans, and system specifications and test procedures; review change proposals for equipment impacts

Service Contract Act (SCA) Compensation & Benefits :

This is an hourly, overtime-eligible position that falls under the Service Contract Act (SCA). In accordance with the Health and Welfare provisions of the SCA, and in addition to your base hourly rate, you may be eligible to receive an additional health and welfare payment for each hour you work to ensure compliance with the minimums set forth by the act. The amount you are entitled to receive will vary depending upon the fringe benefits you select now and in the future.

Compensation :

The minimum starting hourly rate for this position is $30.27 per hour. Factors which may affect starting pay may include geography / market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
