Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focused NDT Etch Inspector to join our team. This position is 3rd shift. The Etch Inspector is responsible for performing Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inspections using etching processes to detect surface anomalies, material defects, and structural irregularities in accordance with industry standards, customer requirements, and company procedures.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES / ACTIVITIES :
- Process customer product through the Chemical Etch line including :
- Cleaning parts with acetone
- Load and unload parts into etching baskets
- Use overhead cranes to immerse parts in cleaning solution tanks
- Use overhead cranes to immerse parts in chemical etch solutions
- Assist certified inspectors with inspecting parts
- Properly handle customer materials using pallet jacks and overhead cranes
- Read and interpret inspection procedures
- Use PC based computers to retrieve inspection information, and document Work Order information
- Fill out inspection reports
- Perform minor preventive maintenance tasks as directed
- Maintain a clean, organized, safe work station at all times
- Lift a minimum of 25 pounds
- Stand for one or more hours at a time
- Reliably report to their work stations on time as scheduled
- Trainees will be asked to perform other ancillary tasks as directed
