Med / Surg RN Job Details

Location : Pasco, WA 99301 (Washington nursing jobs)

Facility Setting : Inpatient Rehabilitation / Medical-Surgical Acute Care

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (travel nurse contract)

Start Date : November 18, 2025

End Date : February 17, 2026

Shift : 12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)

Hours per Week : 36 guaranteed

Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend (Friday / Saturday nights)

Unit Size : 10 beds

Patient Ratio : 5 : 1

Electronic Health Record : Meditech

Medication Management : Omnicell

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington state or compact state (required)

Minimum 1 year of recent acute care nursing experience (required)

Rehabilitation nursing experience preferred

CCRN certification preferred (not required)

Ability to float to Med / Surg unit as needed

Strong teamwork, communication, and clinical skills

Must reside more than 60 miles from facility to qualify for travel nursing jobs

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a rehabilitation and acute care environment

Monitor, assess, and document patient progress, including rehabilitation-specific documentation and GG scoring

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians

Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and health management

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Meditech EHR

Float to Medical-Surgical unit as needed to support hospital operations
