Payroll Specialist

Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting base salary of $80,000 to $110,000.
Job Responsibilities:

• Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 200 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Report certified payroll via LCP Tracker, DIR, or other required platforms as needed.
• Handle out-of-cycle payroll for terminations and adjustments, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
• Address employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and tax withholdings in a professional manner.
• Maintain compliance with payroll regulations, prevailing wage laws, and company policies.

Requirements:

• At least 7+ years of multi-state payroll processing experience is required.
• Experience with certified payroll reporting for government contracts and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of prevailing wage laws and related payroll regulations.
• Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel for reconciliation and reporting.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting strict payroll deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills to ensure payroll accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills for handling multi-state payroll processing.
• Effective communication skills to interact with employees, HR, and management regarding payroll concerns.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive payroll information with discretion.
• Experience in the construction or government contracting industry is a plus.
