Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Behavioral Health position in a short-term acute care setting, requiring a NC or compact RN license and behavioral health experience preferred.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in the Behavioral Health unit of a short-term acute care hospital
  • Patient ratios are 1 : 5-6 within the Behavioral Health unit
  • Shifts are night (4x12 hours), 19 : 00-07 : 00
  • Every other weekend work required
  • Floating within scope to like units may be required
  • Royal blue and white scrubs required
  • Uses Epic for charting
  • Work with patients requiring behavioral health services in a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital
  • Must provide interview availability for consideration
  • All requests for time off are subject to manager discretion
  • Return staff must have been gone for at least 1 year to return as a traveler
  • Travelers are limited to two contracts before a required 6-month break
  • Scrub colors are royal blue and white

  • Active NC or compact RN license required
  • Minimum 2 years of medical-surgical or telemetry RN experience required
  • Behavioral health nursing experience preferred
  • Must live outside a 50-mile radius from facility
  • First time travelers accepted
  • No pending license accepted for consideration
