Job descriptionMust be available for on-call caregiver duties as scheduled by the Director. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Must be a Certified Caregiver in the state of Arizona. Must possess a current CPR and First Aid card, fingerprint clearance card, and recent TB test. Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check. Prior assisted living caregiving and medication administration experience a plus. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to handle challenging behaviors with patience and empathy. Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers. Certified Caregivers / Med Techs
We are seeking kindhearted, energetic Certified Caregivers / Med Techs who have a genuine desire to help seniors and are committed to meeting their day-to-day needs while helping to preserve their dignity and quality of life.
The purpose of this position is to provide a broad range of support services to our Assisted Living residents, including but not limited to, administering medications to the residents in a safe, accurate, and timely manner based on medical chart records.
This is a PRN (as-needed) position, offering flexible hours based on the needs of the patients and your availability.
Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed medications to assisted living residents and maintain medical records.
- Order and complete medication records.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Perform welfare checks on residents.
- Document and report care provided and resident observations.
- Provide physical assistance, laundry & bedding assistance, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques.
