🔍 Position Overview

We are seeking a Medical Oncologist to provide outpatient care at a leading Cancer Institute in Jefferson Hills, PA. This is a stable, long-term locums assignment with strong clinical support and a predictable Monday–Friday schedule.

🏥 Facility & Coverage Details

Location : Jefferson Hills, PA

EMR : EPIC

Reason for Need : Physician departure

Schedule : Monday–Friday, 8a–4p

Coverage Type : Outpatient clinic only

Call : ❌ No call

Holidays : ❌ None

Overtime : ❌ None

Patient Volume : 16–18 per day

Support Staff : Collaborative RN + full office staff

Job Requirements

🩺 Clinical Responsibilities

Evaluate and manage new and established oncology / hematology patients

Order treatments and manage ongoing care plans

Handle results, follow-ups, and in-basket items

No inpatient responsibilities

🎓 Requirements

Board Certification Accepted In :

Medical Oncology

Hematology / Oncology

Hematology

Licensure : PA license preferred, but IMLC candidates accepted

Minimum Commitment : 2 weeks / month for at least 4–6 months

Privileges : 8 weeks after submitting application

Note : AHN Credentialing no longer issues temp privileges without committee review (MD = 1 committee meeting). Total credentialing now 3–4 months depending on completeness of the file.
