About The Position We are seeking a board-certified Gastroenterologist for a 24-day locum tenens assignment in Maryland, starting Jan 21, 2026. This opportunity features weekday inpatient call with scheduled elective procedures from 8am to 5pm and weekend call from Friday evening through Monday morning. The role includes performing upper and lower scopes and providing specialty care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Job Details Location : Maryland Start Date : Jan 21, 2026 LOA : 24 days Provider Type Needed : Gastroenterologist Schedule : Weekday inpatient call with scheduled elective procedures 8am-5pm; weekend call Friday 5pm to Monday 8am; one day per month at the outpatient center (third Wednesday); estimated 8 shifts per month Responsibilities and Duties Perform upper and lower endoscopic procedures Provide inpatient gastroenterology coverage during scheduled call Deliver care during scheduled elective procedures Cover weekend call as scheduled Provide outpatient gastroenterology services one day per month Additional Information Board certification in Gastroenterology required Maryland license or active IMLC required to apply Minimum 2-3 years of experience required ERCP certification required DEA and CSR licenses required Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
