Your impact

  • Program and run CNC-controlled plasma and oxy-fuel equipment to deliver customer-ready parts.
  • Interpret work orders and set machines to achieve exact specs and consistent quality.
  • Balance throughput and material yield through smart setups and nesting.
  • Execute flame cutting (oxygen and gas) on heavy plate in the 1 3 / 8”–10” range.
  • Perform CNC plasma cutting on material in the 1 / 8”–1 1 / 4” range.
  • Confirm material grades via color coding; verify tolerances with a tape measure and calipers.
  • Troubleshoot issues on the fly and make basic adjustments to keep production on track.
  • Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to stage, load, and offload material safely.
  • Complete and document pre- / post-shift preventative maintenance; keep the cutting surface clean and serviceable.
  • Follow direction from Supervisors and Shift Leads; practice safe machine operation at all times.

Must-haves

  • High school diploma or GED; technical training in a related field is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with cutting machines (plasma, laser, or oxy) — required.
  • 1–3 years operating basic CNC machinery.
  • Mechanical aptitude, quality craftsmanship, and the ability to read a tape measure accurately.
  • Strong work ethic, punctuality, and solid communication with teammates.
  • Ability to work overtime, including on short notice when needed.

    • Work setting

  • Manufacturing shop environment with routine exposure to noise, chemicals, and industrial materials.
  • Physically intensive role : lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
