FSD Accounting Intern

Intern Job Description :

The FSD Accounting Office is looking for an Alexandria City High School student to assist in the Accounting Office with basic accounting and administrative duties, including but not limited to :

• Recording journal entries,
• Preparing Excel spreadsheets,
• Researching accounting transactions,
• Generating financial reports
• Scanning documents and filing

During the school year, the Intern can work approximately 2-3 hours per day, flexible based upon their school class schedule. ACPS school bus transportation can be arranged to transport the Intern from ACHS to ACPS Central Office. The Intern must make their own arrangements to go home from ACPS Central Office.

During the summer, at the end of the school year, the Intern can work 6-8 hours per day (June - August) until the new school year begins, when the student will return the 2-3 hours per day schedule. The student selected can continue in the Intern position until the end of the summer after they graduate from ACHS.
