RN Position Job Notes :

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details :

• Work in a 20-bed private room inpatient rehabilitation facility
• Patient ratios of 5 : 1 on average, sometimes 6 : 1 when short-staffed
• Work with standard nursing equipment plus specialized rehabilitation equipment for patient transfers
• Utilize Meditech EMR system
• Weekend rotation required every other weekend
• Possible floating to medical surgical units
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Required certifications : BLS (ACLS preferred) and valid nursing license
• Must have skills in starting / stopping IVs, wound care, telemetry, Foley care, and standard medical surgical nursing skills
• Medication administration and passing required
• Perform patient mobilization to bathrooms, assist with dressing, and help with out-of-bed mobility
• Provide daily medication distribution, education on medication reconciliation, and nursing care for discharge planning
• Prior inpatient rehabilitation facility or skilled nursing unit experience preferred
• Ideal candidate should be open to learning rehabilitation nursing, outgoing, energetic, and fun
• Unit orientation and policies provided upon start

Facility :

This healthcare facility operates a specialized 20-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit located on the 3rd floor of the main building. The facility maintains a comprehensive rehabilitation program with approximately 60 total staff members including nursing and therapy teams. The unit provides intensive rehabilitation services for patients requiring specialized care and mobility assistance, focusing on preparing patients for successful discharge home with appropriate nursing care and education.
