General Summary :

This position works under the direction of the Residential Services Director. Conducts group, individual and family therapy. Is responsible for treatment planning, documentation of patient status and response to treatment and coordinates services for assigned caseload. Assesses strengths and needs of the patients; plans, provides access and coordinates multidisciplinary care and service for their patients. Functions as a member of the treatment team. This is a safety sensitive position. This is an "as-needed" PRN position that will provide coverage when Clinical Therapists are on vacation / leave.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

  • Strong written and verbal skills; ability to read, analyze and interpret professional journals, technical procedures and government regulations
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, patients, licensed associates and the general public
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Basic understanding of calculation of figures for use in patient statistics and accounting and billing procedures

Education and / or Experience :

Must be a qualified mental health professional as defined by state standards. Past experience in mental health and utilization of community resources is preferred. Must have one of the following current credentials : Masters Degree in Social Work and licensed by the state of Arkansas; or Masters Degree and licensed by the State of Arkansas as a Psychological Examiner; or Masters Degree and a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Associate Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist by the State of Arkansas. Must be 21 years of age or older.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Team members are required to sit, stand, talk, see, walk and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to personally restrain patients. Must maintain a current tuberculosis skin test. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
