Gandolfo Family Market & Deli is seeking a Deli Clerk to become an integral part of our team! We’re a fast-paced, community-based deli in Los Olivos, and we’re looking for someone who’s ready to jump in, work hard, and have fun doing it.

Responsibilities :

  • Assist customers with a friendly attitude
  • Prepare customer orders according to our established menu and standards
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with coworkers and customers
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food prep areas, workstations, and equipment
  • Wash dishes and assist with kitchen cleanup at the end of each shift
  • Help with daily food prep tasks (chopping vegetables, slicing meats, restocking supplies, etc.)
  • Follow all food safety guidelines and take instruction well
  • Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment

Qualifications :

  • No deli or food experience needed — we provide paid training!
  • Prior customer service experience is helpful but not required
  • Must be able to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment during busy rushes
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and able to take constructive feedback
  • Able to follow detailed sandwich and salad preparation guidelines
  • Food Handler’s Permit is a plus — if you don’t have one, we’ll pay for it
  • Must be available to work part-time shifts (set schedule, not flexible)
  • Must work weekends
