Job Description
- Maintain a Safety-First Attitude.
- Ability to thoroughly inspect multiple types of construction equipment such as but not limited to loaders, graders, dozers, excavators, heavy trucks, and cranes.
- Identify, and diagnose equipment problems.
- Ability to create a repair backlog from the inspections and complete minor repairs as needed.
- Maintain awareness of hazards and safety precautions common to equipment operations
Job Requirements
Minimum of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required with ten (10) or more years heavy & truck equipmentMust be 18 years in age or older and able to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check; must maintain current driver's license that meets requirementsAbility to read, write and do basic mathematical calculations in order to keep time and material records.Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructionsAbility to effectively communicate verbally and in writingAbility to perform multiple tasks effectively with a focus on timeliness and responsivenessWillingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as requiredAble to walk and stand; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hearThe ability use hands in order to handle or feel objects, tools, or controlsMay require sitting for extended periods of timeAble to climb laddersAble to regularly lift and / or move 50-100 poundsMust be willing to travel and work away from home when required; must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessaryThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
