SLR Consulting is seeking an Asbestos and Hazardous Materials Consultant to work out of our Bedford, NH area office. The position is needed to perform the following services with associated qualifications.
We are SLR Consulting (US), a 500+ coast-to-coast team of advisory, environmental / engineering, and regulatory professionals. We deliver environmental and sustainability services to our clients through the integration of over 30 advisory, technical environmental, and engineering disciplines to help clients address some of their most complex challenges around sustainability. - The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000. Final agreed upon compensation will be commensurate with individual education, professional designation, experience, internal parity, and location.

Responsibilities :
Conduct client development activities and work with our team to grow environmental planning services in the northeast (and beyond)Prepare proposals, including scope of work and fee, for existing and new clientsWork with an existing environmental team to deliver work products and consulting solutions for clientsWork proactively with account managers for successful, timely, project delivery in the northeast (and beyond)Collaborate with department managers and environmental staffOversee staff chargeability, project billing and collections, and project profitabilityEmploy best practices for risk management and loss prevention; be familiar with company risk policiesLead safety efforts for project team and ensure team follows safety rules and guidelinesPossess strong understanding of federal, state, and local regulatory requirementsUnderstand and implement technical requirements to complete client projects by directing and supervising field staff to sample, test and collect data and / or document site activitiesPerform site visits, field observations and field data collection in area of technical expertisePerformance of IAQ inspections and Property Condition Assessments (PCAs)Building material surveys, including collection and laboratory submittal of suspect regulated or toxic materials (i.e. asbestos, lead, UFFI, radon, mold, bacteria, etc.)Asbestos and lead inspection / monitoring servicesTravel to various job site locations is requiredQualifications :
Minimum of 10 years' experience in occupational safety / health and / or environmental management in general industry and construction sectorsBachelor of Science Degree in engineering discipline or equivalency preferredMassachusetts Asbestos Monitor and Inspector License to be achieved within 30 days of hireAnd Other asbestos-related certifications for some or all of New England (NH / CT / VT / ME / RI)Excellent verbal and written communication skills requiredValid driver's licenseDiversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) are at the core of who we are and want to be.
