Sitework Engineer

Note : This position will be Remote.

Must live a minimum of 1 hour from the office (Birmingham, AL, 35243).

Approximately 2 weeks in the office to onboard and learn the team and processes prior to remote work.

Required PPE : Hardhat Safety Glasses Safety Vest.

This position required travel 25% of the time.

Job Description :

• The Sitework Engineer 3 position requires 7-10 years of related experience with site work / grading design.

Job Responsibilities :

Providing Sitework engineering services and field support, preparation of designs and calculations, conducting site walk downs, developing cost estimates and material take-offs, maintain a safe work environment for yourself while also considering safety in the designs they are involved with.

Efficiently transition between multiple projects and applying technical writing and Office suite skills daily.

Skillsets and expertise required for this position include knowledge of environmental regulations such as ADEM and MDEQ.

Ability to perform earth work calculations and construction material take-offs, and cost estimates.

Ability to coordinate with others in the production design documents.

Ability to provide oversight for permitting requirements (municipal, ALDOT, environmental, etc...) where necessary.

Extensive knowledge or certification of erosion and sediment control measures.

Perform hydrology calculations, balance a site and knowledge of retention pond design

Proficient using AutoCAD Civil 3D for Civil Sitework Design, previous Sitework construction experience required. Ex : Grading work must display good technical writing skills, Office suite proficiency, and the ability to build effective relationships with Grading Construction. Design engineering team and customers.

Approximately 2 weeks in the office to onboard and learn the team and processes, then remote work. Must live a minimum of 1 hour from the office.
