Job description

A health services organization in New York City is actively seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Addiction Treatment team.

About the Opportunity :

Schedule : Days or Evenings or Nights
Hours : 7 : 30am to 4pm or 3 : 30pm to 11pm or 10 : 30pm to 7am
Setting : Addiction Treatment

Responsibilities :

Comprehensive admission assessments

Dispensing medication

Providing physician-ordered medical treatment

Transcribing orders

Collection of specimens for laboratory analysis or culture.

Providing health education to clients, monitoring client behavior, and participating in treatment planning

Handling crisis intervention with clients (psychological, physiological, and behavioral)

Maintaining accurate and detailed reports and records electronically and / or physically, as appropriate

Assisting in general client care activities, such as meal preparation & distribution, and room preparation

Performing other job-related duties, as assigned

Qualifications :

1+ year of Clinical Nursing experience

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

Active NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license

BLS certification

Solid assessment and documentation skills

Desired Skills :

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Experience working in a Substance Abuse / Addiction Treatment and / or Mental Health setting
