Summary :

The golf course Assistant Superintendent is responsible for the health and daily upkeep of the playing conditions on the golf course and working alongside the Golf Superintendent to ensure all is kept visually and mechanically sound throughout the course, all while getting to enjoy the beautiful scenery as they go! This position is great for those have difficulty sitting still. With the tasks at hand, there is never a dull moment! This will be a full assistant superintendent experience exposing you to all aspects of golf course management preparing you to become a superintendent.

Responsibilities include :

• Personnel management and training
• Top dressing
• Mowing / Equipment operations
• Cup Changing
• Watering
• Sodding / seeding
• General maintenance
• Equipment maintenance and repair
• Irrigation maintenance and repair
• Fertilization and chemical applications (when necessary)
• Communication with resort management
• Responsibilities are varied on a daily and seasonal basis and are dictated by the needs of the golf course and directed by the superintendent.
• Once established in position, responsibilities may also include training of additional Greenskeeper staff

Requirements :

A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE IS REQUIRED FOR EMPLOYMENT

Schedule : Primarily day shifts and must have weekend availability

Reports To : Golf Course Superintendent
