Job description

The Spa Lead Therapist will oversee a team of service providers, ensuring exceptional spa services while also providing high-quality treatments. This role involves training and mentoring junior staff and actively shaping the spa’s treatment offerings to enhance the overall guest experience.

Role & Responsibilities

Service Delivery :

Provide a range of therapeutic services, including massages, body treatments, and specialized techniques at a luxury level, ensuring every guest receives an exceptional experience.

Customize treatments based on individual client needs and preferences.

Team Leadership :

  • Lead, train, and mentor a team of massage therapists and estheticians, fostering collaboration and growth within the team.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and ensure continuous learning.

Monitor inventory for supplies and back bar, communicate restocking needs, maintain clean, well-stocked treatment rooms and support areas.

Guest Experience :

  • Ensure guests receive a warm welcome and personalized care throughout their spa visit, with clear communication about treatments.
  • Gather guest feedback and implement improvements to elevate their experience.
  • Operations Management :

  • Assist with scheduling and coordinating therapist appointments to ensure optimal coverage and service delivery efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance overall spa operations.
  • Drive sales goals :  retail product sales, upgrades, memberships, etc. Educate guests on enhancements and product lines.

    Treatment Development :

  • Stay informed about industry trends and integrate new modalities and techniques into our service offerings.
  • Contribute to the development of spa treatment menus and promotional packages.
  • Participate in creating and updating new spa treatments, specials, or promotional offerings.
  • Health and Safety Compliance :

  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation regulations, maintaining a clean and safe environment for guests and staff.
  • Performance Monitoring :

  • Monitor and evaluate staff performance, providing constructive feedback and recognizing exceptional service.
