Manager, Payroll
What you'll need to succeed as a Manager, Payroll at XPO :
Minimum qualifications :
Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
5 years of experience in a large, multi-state, multi-national payroll department
Demonstrate advanced understanding of payroll processes, procedures, controls, tax & regulatory compliance requirements
Demonstrated proficiency in ADP Employment Tax
Experience with case management application (e.g., ServiceNow)
Specialized systems experience pertinent to the team / position (e.g., UKG)
Experience with Microsoft tools and applications
Preferred qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, or related field
MS or MBA is desired
In-house payroll experience
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred
Demonstrated proficiency in SuccessFactors EC and ECP

What you'll do on a typical day :
Oversee and perform tasks related to the analysis, processing and execution of payroll for the US and Canada within SuccessFactors ECP.
Identify, design and implement automation initiatives to enhance accuracy, efficiency and scalability across payroll operations.
Lead the linehaul driver pay team, overseeing the accurate and timely processing of daily drive pay forms.
Administer payroll tax remittance and reporting for multi-state and multi-national corporation with numerous tax entities.
Manage team of payroll tax analysts and external employment tax service provider relationship (ADP).
Define configuration requirements and perform user acceptance testing for driver pay and payroll tax system enhancements.
Coordinate SNOW case assignments, enforce standards and serve as second level escalation point for payroll taxes and driver pay.
Facilitate payroll handling of executive equity transactions and other employee benefits reportable for tax purposes.
Serve as subject matter expert for cross-functional projects involving new services and enhancements that impact driver pay or payroll taxes.
Direct year-end processing for W-2, T4, and RL1 generation and reporting for US and Canadian employees.
Review and conclude (accept / decline) on system access requests.
Provide coaching, mentoring and career development for payroll team members; foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
