Learning Objectives:

The Cuyahoga County Public Library is seeking to hire Student Success Tutors for multiple locations throughout the county. These positions will be off-site at a Cuyahoga County Public Library branch.

Help kids complete their homework and lead academic enrichment activities. You will work with students in small groups and have the support of a teacher who oversees the room.

Objectives:

• Demonstrate accountability and reliability regarding attendance
• Exhibit the ability to communicate when there are issues, concerns or questions
• Validate the ability to assist children in grades K-8 on their school assignments
• Demonstrate strong communication skills
• Show evidence in the ability to multitask independently in a small group setting with youth
• Indicate the ability work within a team and take direction from a supervisor
• Exhibit the ability to differentiate instructional techniques to meet the needs of the youth where they are

• GPA of
• Consistently maintain 6 credit hours each semester;
• Maintain satisfactory academic progress;
• Adhere to college’s confidentiality policy;
• Successfully pass background/drug screening;
• Successfully complete In2vate Online Training
• Experience working with children;
• Make at least a 2 semester commitment to the program;
• Demonstrate willingness and ability to work with the community;
• Positions are located at Cuyahoga County Public Libraries located throughout the county;
• Other duties as assigned
