Traffic Design Engineer (2-5 years)

Garver is seeking a highly motivated Traffic Design Engineer in our Overland, Park office to add to our growing traffic and transportation planning team. The ideal candidate would have 2-5 years of related experience, a sharp technical background, and strong passion for the profession. The position will offer the candidate an opportunity to play a key role in designing exciting projects for our DOT and municipal clients across our client footprint.

Applicants must have excellent problem-solving skills with a commitment to playing a key role of this extremely technical, highly productive design team. This position will be supervised by a Senior Project Manager and offers outstanding growth opportunity and career advancement to the right individual.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following :

• Developing intersection improvements plans
• Preparing traffic signal plans,
• Preparing ITS plans
• Preparing signing plans and pavement marking plans
• Coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams and communicating concepts to clients
