What will you be doing at Woodard & Curran?

Woodard & Curran has a phenomenal opportunity to join our Customer Service Department team at our Public Water Supply District #2 / East Central Missouri Project. We are looking for a Utility Worker who be responsible for changing out water meters, repairing water meters, meeting with customers about issues on water and sewer, perform locates of water and sewer lines throughout the district, and any operations / maintenance and housekeeping in accordance with contract requirements, and other customer service-related job duties.

Typical tasks include :

• Responsible for the installation of water meters in the district.
• Manage water meter inventory.
• Trouble Shooting (Routes, Water Quality Issues)
• On Call Rotation
• Read meters.
• Maintains communication with project personnel
• Performs preventive maintenance on equipment
• Perform utility locates
• Perform service orders
• Complies with all company Health and Safety procedures

What will you need to succeed?

Physical Demands / Work Environment

The duties and responsibilities are generally performed in a outdoor environment, and may be performed both indoors and outdoors.  Moderate exposure to dirt, dust, pollen, odors, wetness, humidity, rain, temperature and noise extremes, hazardous materials and chemicals, machinery, moving mechanical parts, vibrations, electric currents, traffic hazards, and water hazards.
