Job descriptionPatient Demographics : Adults; Healthy Pediatrics (no high-risk peds) Patient Volume / Census : 45 cases per day Phone Consults : Yes Case Mix : OB / Gyn, Orthopedics, General Surgery, ENT, GI, Urology, Vascular, Plastics, Colorectal No. of Beds in Department : 9 main ORs Trauma Level : Level III with ACS EMR System : Epic Office Equipment Available : Fully equipped OR Specialty Backup Available : Full surgical team, OB, and support services Support Staff Available : CRNAs, PA's, nurses, OR techs, Anesthesia techs, Directors, Managers Reason for Coverage : Supplemental Coverage / Scheduled Absences Hospital Privileges Required : Yes Temporary Privileges Available : Yes, for clean files Credentialing Timeline : Fast-track available for clean files (No malpractice or work gaps) Rate : TBD Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance : Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES Bread & butter surgery OB anesthesia Regional blocks for OR cases Licenses : Active NY medical license required Board : Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology DEA : Active DEA Certification Certifications : ACLS required Experience : OB anesthesia and 1st / 2nd call experience preferred Other Qualifications : Must live within 15 minutes of facility while on-call; Must cover majority of listed dates Provide primary anesthesia coverage for surgical cases Participate in 1st or 2nd OB call rotation as needed Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary OR team Take part in rotating weekday and weekend call schedules Occasionally supervise CRNAs Bolster your CV with a diverse range of experiences, demonstrating adaptability, versatility, and a commitment to excellence.
