About the Role
Schoolhouse Staffing is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide coverage at Lukancic Middle School during a staff members leave of absence. This full-time, school-based position offers the opportunity to support middle school students and collaborate with a highly supportive special education team.
This assignment is ideal for SLPs who are passionate about improving student communication outcomes through individualized and culturally responsive services.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and create individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct therapy services (individual and group) targeting articulation, language, fluency, and pragmatic communication.
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and special education staff to align therapy goals with student IEPs and classroom strategies.
- Monitor progress, document outcomes, and adjust interventions as needed
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings
- Maintain compliance with state and federal requirements, including ISBE guidelines
Qualifications
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related fieldValid Illinois SLP license (IDFPR)ASHA CCC-SLP preferred (CFs with intense supervision will be considered)Previous school-based experience preferredStrong knowledge of IEP development and documentationExcellent interpersonal skills, cultural competence, and commitment to student growthWhat We Offer
