University Vehicle Driver
The University Vehicle Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of students, staff, and / or equipment to and from university-sponsored activities, events, and programs. This role requires a commitment to safety, customer service, and adherence to university and state transportation policies.
Key Responsibilities :
- Safely operate university-owned vehicles (vans or cars) for scheduled trips, events, and programs.
- Ensure compliance with all traffic laws, university transportation guidelines, and safety protocols.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections; report maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate trip logs, mileage reports, and fuel usage records.
- Provide courteous, professional service to students, staff, and visitors.
- Follow emergency procedures in case of accidents, breakdowns, or medical incidents.
- Support departmental operations as assigned.
Qualifications :
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL may be required depending on vehicle type).Minimum age requirement is 21.Previous professional driving experience preferred.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with loading / unloading when necessary.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Commitment to safety and reliability.Must pass background check and university driving clearance process.Willing to get CPR certifiedWork Schedule :
Hours vary depending on university events, programs, and transportation needs.Evening, weekend, and occasional overnight availability is required.Compensation : $20-22 per hour.
