The City of Lake Alfred is seeking a Utilities Service Worker III to join our Public Works team. This position involves advanced technical work in the construction, maintenance, and repair of water and wastewater systems. The role includes operating heavy equipment, installing and troubleshooting system components, and ensuring reliable service for the community.

What You'll Do

• Perform construction, maintenance, and repair of water and wastewater lines and equipment.
• Operate heavy equipment including excavators, backhoes, bulldozers, loaders, and cranes.
• Install and maintain hydrants, valves, meters, backflow devices, and other system components.
• Utilize advanced technologies such as pipe bursting, slip lining, tapping machines, and televising equipment.
• Ensure safety compliance, including confined space entry and trench safety procedures.
• Respond to emergency situations and assist with system reliability under all conditions.
