Manufacturing Engineering - 2nd Shift

Summary

The Manufacturing Engineering Technician supports the engineering functions for the organization in areas such as troubleshooting existing processes and new process development.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for implementing projects to improve cost and quality of the manufacturing processes, products, and components
  • Investigates and resolves mechanical and / or electrical work-in-process problems
  • Performs duties as required by Manufacturing Engineers
  • Responsible for programming and troubleshooting machines
  • Works closely with the Quality Department to checking parts and assemblies for product and part returns
  • Recommends and implements improvements and / or modifications in sequence of operations, equipment utilization, and related matters
  • Works closely with Product Engineering designers on product design feasibility and new manufacturing process development
  • Develops and maintains manufacturing documentation and quality plans per company standards
  • Coordinates with vendors regarding new product designs and machine parts
  • Promote a safe workplace by performing all tasks in a safe and thoughtful manner in compliance with all rules, procedures, instructions, devices, equipment and use of appropriate personal protective equipment. Maintain vigilance for any hazardous conditions or practices in the workplace and immediately report any unsafe condition or practice to your supervisor.
  • Performs other duties as directed

  • Basic knowledge of Relay Logic and electrical wiring
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows
  • Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics and / or Related Field
  • 2 + years of experience working in a manufacturing environment using Machining, Hydraulics, and Programming
