Linux Administrator

JOB SUMMARY :
To design, implement, and manage Linux and storage systems across the enterprise. This role ensures the reliability, performance, and scalability of Linux environments and storage infrastructure. Responsibilities include system architecture, installation, configuration, backup and recovery, and support for engineering and infrastructure teams. The administrator will also contribute to strategic planning and provide technical troubleshooting and consultation. Viewed as a subject matter expert in Linux and storage technologies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design complex Linux and storage strategies to meet a broad spectrum of business needs.
- Coordinate implementation, optimization, and operation of Linux and storage systems including procurement, installation, configuration and management.
- Rack, stack, and wire equipment for deployment.
- Test high availability (HA) capabilities and configure alerting and monitoring of services.
- Manage and deploy Kubernetes environments
- Provide technical expertise for system integrations and infrastructure design

Good understanding of Oracle Enterprise Linux or Red Hat Linux administration.Operating System Virtualization fundamentals.Experience with backup and recovery tools (e.g., Commvault, RMAN).Good understanding of storage management and fiber channel configuration.Basic understanding of database fundamentals and administration.Knowledgeable about Kubernetes and containerization trendsExperience with DevOps tools (Git, Helm, Terraform)Maintenance windows may occur on weekends; on-call support is required.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).2+ years of hands-on experience with Linux system administration and storage management.
