Job description

Nurse Chart Auditor - RN

JOB SUMMARY

  • The Nurse Chart Auditor will be responsible for the monthly auditing of charts and will be required to lead the monthly Chart Audit Committee. The Nurse Chart Auditor will need to conduct any training and education that is needed as a result of those audits. The Nurse Chart Auditor will work with Third Party Auditors to defend facility charges as well as work with Customer Service on any patient requested audits.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education

  • Completion of Vocational Nursing Program or Associate’s Degree in Nursing or Bachelor’s Degree or three years of applicable audit / quality work experience

    • Minimum Work Experience

  • 2 years

    • Required Licenses / Certifications

  • LVN or RN in the state of Texas

    • Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Ability to carry out obligations and duties of position
  • Deals effectively with community / consumers
  • Deals effectively with hospital personnel & duties of position
  • Maintains professional appearance and decorum at all times
  • Requires ability to handle confidential information.
  • Requires extreme diplomacy and tact.
  • Balance figures.
  • Compiles and analyze reports.
  • Compose applicable policies and procedures
  • Compose letters / memorandums.
  • Compose pertinent policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate meetings
  • Develop and compile statistical data.
  • Develop office procedures.
  • Develop program indicators
