Senior Manager – Tax (Flow-Through Entities)

Location : Boston, MA (Remote)

A growing national firm is seeking a Senior Tax Manager with expertise in flow-through entities, including S corporations and partnerships. This role offers a clear path to leadership and is ideal for an experienced tax professional with strong communication and team management skills.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of flow-through clients across industries such as technology, professional services, manufacturing, and retail.
  • Lead tax planning, compliance, and consulting engagements focused on both federal and state-level issues.
  • Conduct tax research related to multi-state filings, composite returns, and non-resident withholding.
  • Deliver strategic advice and maintain strong relationships through clear communication and high service standards.
  • Work in tandem with firm leadership to support business development and mentor team members.
  • Train and supervise junior staff, conduct performance reviews, and ensure quality control across engagements.

Ideal Qualifications :

  • Active CPA license with a minimum of 10 years experience in public accounting or a comparable tax advisory environment.
  • Deep understanding of pass-through taxation, including capital account maintenance and allocation methods.
  • Solid foundation in tax compliance, technical review, IRS / state correspondence, and research.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with minimal oversight.
  • Strong leadership and coaching capabilities with a track record of developing teams and client relationships.
