Sr. Accountant - Contractor

Gifted Healthcare Senior Accountant (Contractor)

The Gifted Healthcare Senior Accountant (Contractor) has ultimate responsibility for all cash flow management processes aligned with our company financials and values.

Location: Hybrid 3 days per week in the Metairie, LA office

Primary Expectations and Objectives of the Senior Accountant:

• Create trust and value with Gifted Healthcare’s clients


• Responsible for cash flow management including monitoring of availability and anticipating cash needs


• Reconciling and recording asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.


• Supporting month-end and year-end close process including consolidating, maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts


• Collaborating with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable staff to locate and/or rectify discrepancies or issues


• Assisting Corporate Controller and outside accounting firm with annual audit

preparations and tax returns

• Supporting selection and implementation of new corporate accounting software


• Supporting integration of 2 – 4 acquisitions per year


• Responsible to identify company/team areas for improvement on an ongoing basis.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred


• 5+ years’ experience in public / private accounting with mid-market companies


• Demonstrated advanced Excel skills required, QuickBooks experience preferred


• Ability to work independently with accuracy and strong attention to detail


• Strong analytical, organizational, and oral and written communication skills
