Gastroenterology Physician

Opportunity : Board Certified - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology Job Details :

• Assignment dates : November 24 (7am) - December 1 (7am), 2023
• ERCP skills required - must be proficient in both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• Responsibilities include inpatient consults, ED consults, and transfers
• Perform upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder, and injection of varices
• Conduct PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) procedures
• Perform esophageal dilatation / manometry and interpretation
• Conduct small bowel biopsies
• Perform lower GI endoscopy including flexible and rigid sigmoidoscopy
• Conduct colonoscopies with biopsy and polyp excision capabilities
• Experience with liver biopsies required
• Insertion and management of Sengstaken / Blakemore tube required
• EUS (Endoscopic ultrasound) preferred but not required
• Must have active Texas medical license
• ACLS certification required
• Board certification required with fellowship training
• Estimated credentialing timeframe is approximately 10 days Compensation : Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
