Family Advocate

RPC's Early Childhood Education Center is seeking a Family Advocate to join their team. This position provides family support and child health services to families with children from birth to 5 years old.

RPC is a people-focused agency made up of over 100 programs designed to generate possibilities for all within the community. A great deal of planning goes into creating opportunities where people can succeed on their own, and RPC is doing that work.

Responsibilities and Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in Social Services or Human Development required, or Bachelor's degree in a related field with 2 years of Case Management experience.
• Ability to fulfill DCFS requirements for personnel, including a physical exam, immunizations, and a criminal record check.
• Ability to engage families in services for themselves and their child, maintain records of services provided, and support family-identified goals.
• Basic computer competency.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to travel to home visits, trainings, and meetings.
• Ability to lift children up to 60 pounds in an emergency.
• Bilingual (English / Spanish) a plus.
• Prior experience with working with children in an early childhood program is preferred.

Status : Full-Time / Year-Round. Hours : 8 : 00 a.m. - 4 : 30 p.m. (M-F).

Starting Hourly Wage : $19.45 - $20.47 (Family Advocate Credential), $20.47 - $21.50 (AA), $22.73 - $23.75 (BA), $24.46 - $25.48 (MA).
