Additionally, Aiken Regional provides comprehensive healthcare services such as behavioral health (Aurora Pavilion Behavioral Health), emergency medical care (main hospital and ER at Sweetwater), orthopedic surgeries, maternity, rehabilitation services (Hitchcock Rehabilitation Services), imaging, and wound care.

To provide Occupational Therapy services to patients under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist in the Rehab setting in accordance with facility policy, standards, and philosophy.

Duties :

• Implements treatment plan in accordance with methods, techniques, modalities, procedures, and supervisory guidelines.
• Provide patient and family education in preparation for discharge.
• Participates in committees and task forces as appropriate.
• Meets documentation standards with patient charts.
• Charge accurately and appropriately for services rendered.
• Perform thorough and efficient chart review to prepare for patient care.
• Communicate positively and professionally with interdisciplinary team members.
• Deliver services timely and cost-effectively.
• Display excellent customer service skills.
• Update supervising therapist on patient status.
• Ensure patients' treatments follow supervisory regulations.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
• Assist other departments during staffing shortages.

Qualifications

Requirements :

Education requirements : Degree from an accredited COTA program (Associate's Degree)

Work experience requirements : Prefer 1 year experience in acute care setting but not required

Required licenses / certifications / courses : Current SC license, BLS

Required skills, knowledge and abilities : Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Effective interpersonal skills. Clinical competence. Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessments by the facility.
