About the Position
The Senior Accountant is responsible for preparing, analyzing, and reviewing financial statements using accounting principles and supervising staff to ensure that customers are billed correctly and accounting policies are being adhered to. Functions
- Coordinating monthly close process for multiple locations/departments and multiple site/department accounting personnel
- Overseeing accounting operations or complex segments of the accounting function based on specific LLC
- Reviewing financial data for completeness, accuracy, and compliance
- Preparation of complex customer invoices in accordance with customer contracts
- Reconciling general ledger activity to customer billing for more complex accounts
- General ledger balance sheet reconciliations utilizing Blackline Accounting software
- Monitoring and managing all aspects of the general ledger
- Preparing and keying journal entries
- Coordinating the preparation of operating budgets by working with the Controller, General Manager, and Vice President
- Communicating with site accounting personnel and Vice Presidents on a regular basis
- Responsible for monthly analytics of site information
- Monitoring and assisting site/department personnel with usage of financial systems and processes
- Managing site accounting personnel and/or Accountants within the Finance department
- Providing support as a resource to Accounting Assistant I & II and Accountant I & II when troubleshooting work
- May provide training or coaching on processes to Accounting Assistant I & II and Accountant I & II
- Providing backup support to Accounting Manager and other team members as needed
- Coordinating accounting matters with other departments
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree (B.A. / B.S.) in Accounting or Finance required. MBA or CPA preferred. 4-6 years of experience in corporate finance or accounting with prior experience in a leadership role preferred. Experience with Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Expertise in Excel. Proficient in use of accounting systems, Great Plains a plus.

Travel Requirements
This position is expected to travel approximately 25% or less. A passport is not required, but recommended.
