Job Description
The Quality Systems Specialist is responsible for leveraging expertise in quality management systems to design, implement, and continuously improve quality assurance processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and enhancing overall product integrity. The Quality Systems Specialist will collaborate cross-functionally to drive a culture of quality, conduct audits, and provide training to uphold the highest standards of quality and operational excellence.
Essential Functions
- Proper implementation of VSP’s Quality Management System
- Ensure that the finished product meets all quality standards as specified in the VSP Quality Management System.
- Create and update QMS documentation, including policies, procedures, and work instructions. Ensure that all quality documentation is accurate, accessible, and in compliance with internal and external requirements.

- Conduct and manage internal audits to assess the effectiveness of the QMS. Prepare for and facilitate external audits by regulatory bodies or certification agencies. Address audit findings and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
- Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics to identify areas for improvement. Lead initiatives to enhance processes, reduce defects, and improve overall quality.
- Develop and deliver training programs for employees on quality standards, procedures, and best practices. Provide support and guidance to other departments to ensure compliance with quality systems.
- Stay current with changes in industry regulations and standards. Ensure that the organization’s quality systems are updated and compliant with these regulations.
- Investigate quality issues and non-conformances, performing root cause analysis and developing corrective and preventive actions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues and implement solutions.
- Prepare and present reports on the performance of the QMS, including metrics, audit results, and improvement initiatives. Maintain comprehensive records of quality activities and performance.
- Assess and monitor supplier quality performance. Work with suppliers to ensure that products and services meet quality requirements.
Required Experience / Education
High School Diploma or equivalentStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent organizational and communication skills.In-depth knowledge of quality management systems and methodologies.Customer service experience in manufacturing and / or sales. (Preferred)Experience in quality management or systems, preferably within a similar industry. (Preferred)Quality-related certifications such as Certified Quality Auditor. (CQA) (Preferred)Benefits
