ER RN Travel Nursing Job Details

Location : Cincinnati, Ohio (45236) – Ohio healthcare jobs

Assignment Type : Travel Nursing – Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Unit : Emergency Department (ED)

Shift : 12 Hour Nights (variable start times : 7pm-7 : 30am, 11am-11 : 30pm, 12pm-12 : 30am, 1pm-1 : 30am, 3pm-3 : 30pm)

Hours per Week : 36

Assignment Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 12 / 15 / 2025 – End : 3 / 14 / 2026)

Bed Amount : 28-bed Emergency Department

Patient Population : Primarily older adults with acute medical needs; low trauma and pediatric volume

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1680–$1800

Emergency Room RN Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or compact state (required)

Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department RN experience (required)

Travel nursing experience (highly preferred)

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI (required or must obtain prior to direct patient care)

Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam (study guide available)

EPIC EHR experience (preferred)

Locals not accepted (must reside more than 50 miles from facility)

ER RN Responsibilities

Deliver, coordinate, and evaluate patient-centered nursing care in the Emergency Department

Supervise licensed and unlicensed nursing staff in clinical care delivery

Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate outcomes

Administer medications safely and according to hospital policies

Coordinate patient care across hospital departments and serve as a liaison for families

Promote patient safety and participate in quality improvement initiatives

Float to freestanding Emergency Departments as needed

Manage triage, stabilization, resuscitation, and crisis intervention in emergency situations

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, EMS, law enforcement, and protective services

Utilize and manage central lines, arterial lines, and other emergency devices

Maintain professionalism, resilience, and compassion in high-stress environments
