Position Summary : The Terrain Park Groomer is responsible for building, shaping, and maintaining terrain park features to ensure they are safe, consistent, and enjoyable for riders of all skill levels. This role involves operating specialized grooming equipment, collaborating with the terrain park team on feature design and layout, and adapting to changing snow and weather conditions.

Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities :

Assist with all grooming maintenance of terrain parks, half pipes, terrain-based teaching areas, and ski slopes.

Participate in the building and construction of all terrain park features and other related projects.

Assist with the set-up and clean-up of special events as requested.

Work directly with the Terrain Park Manager as a team to accomplish daily goals.

Perform assigned duties as required to support other mountain operation departments.

Work outside of a snowcat in inclement or severe weather conditions.

Responsible for the cleanliness, and upkeep of snowcats.

Adheres to all company safety policies and procedures, actively contributing to a safe working environment for self, coworkers, and guests.

This includes choosing alternative transportation, carpooling, using the employee shuttle, and avoiding onsite parking on weekends and peak days. These actions help reduce Scope 3 emissions, lead by example, and ensure adequate parking for our guests.

Must be able to work weekends and holidays as required by resort operations.

Specific Job Skills :

High school degree or equivalent.

Valid Driver's License with the ability to pass a MVR check to company standards.

Minimum age : 21 years.

2+ years' experience operating snowcats (preferably in a Terrain Park setting).

Must be able to problem solve and quickly adapt to changes.

Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with all types of personnel.

Able to use 2-way radios.

Physical Demands :

Bending, reaching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and prolonged standing.

Eye / hand coordination & visual concentration on equipment.

Concentrated reading and writing.

Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.

Variation in temperature from hot to cold.

Ability to work long hours including overnight shifts and weekend / holidays.

Must be able to work outside in cold temperatures and adverse weather conditions.

Schedule :

Non-Peak Days (M-F) : 7 : 00 am-5 : 30 pm

Peak Days (Sa / Sun / Holidays) : 7 : 00 am-5 : 30 pm

This schedule represents an average work week and is subject to change based on guest volume, operational needs, and weather conditions.

Compensation & Benefits :

Compensation : Proposed hiring rate of $20+ actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.

Benefits : This is a seasonal position eligible for season pass for employees / dependents and privileges at several other resorts. Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail / rental, tickets, etc.) also available. Additionally, this position accumulates sick time.
