The Position
Reporting to the Quality Manager, in this role you will be responsible for :
Support all outgoing Quality Inspection requirements (End of line inspection)Collect data from the checking fixture according to the control planIdentify potential causes for process variationDevelop CMM programs for completed assemblies and component partsAssist in the performance of gauge studiesInspection of close tolerance parts, using CMM programs and precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, etc.Develop programs from blueprints, CAD models and operation sheetsAbility to work with operators, engineering and varying and changing shop schedulesSupport 1st piece Quality (buy-off) Inspection of all in-process components and sub-assembliesResponsible for all incoming Supplier Documentation (review and storage)Proactively supports the ISO process approach to quality management and the Rockville Technology MRP systemSupport continuous improvement (CI) activitiesGenerates non-conforming material reports and effectively communicates these both verbally and in written formCalibrates shop and personal toolsAbout You
High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required; Associate's in Engineering or related field is preferredEffectively communicate via verbal, handwritten and electronic documentsStrong attention to detailWorking knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and ability to create documents, reports and briefing materials in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPointStrong problem-solving skillsAbility to work effectively in a team environment as well as independentlyDemonstrates strong time management skills with the ability to effectively coordinate multiple projectsAbility to use technology effectively and efficiently to manage workloadConceptual Skills, Verbal Communication, Attention to Detail, JudgmentAbility to handle multiple tasks with tight deadlinesDemonstrates a professional and positive attitude as well as a passion for continuous improvement3+ years of CMM programming experience using PCDMIS or CAMEO software in a high-speed machining environmentMust be a US Citizen.
