Job descriptionTakes responsibility for client work being performed on time, appropriate scope of services and within budget Sees the big picture for client's business, objectives and industry and thinks creatively to solve business problems as well as team conflict Takes responsibility for service quality, thoroughness and accuracy; proactively works with client to gather data and follow-up on open items Stays current on regulatory and industry issues and shares applicable information with others Assesses problem / issue materiality and interprets the implications for the client; understands client's tolerance for risk Participates as a confident knowledge resource and idea generator in client meetings and sales calls Takes on work outside of "comfort zone"; asks for stretch assignments to develop Dedicates time to coaching others in tax software knowledge, business process, research skills / resources, technical expertise, planning and project management skills via on the job training Targets written or verbal communication to appropriate audience Proactively communicates work / project status with engagement team and client in a direct and respectful manner Takes initiative to be a team player. Seeks opportunities to help others. Engages, motivates and provides timely feedback to team members Recognizes role in executing change management Takes ownership of personal career goals and seeks out mentors, advisors and coaches within the firm to help achieve aspirations Builds relationships across lines of business to ensure client service excellence through an integrated service approach Attends recruiting and firm events to build the practice Recognizes resource / team capabilities (background, experience, strengths and weaknesses), aligns the right talent to the work, delegates work effectively and holds team accountable for deliverables Develops loyalty and trust with team and with client Continues to develop peer network Alert to client needs that may result in growth opportunity for the firm and communicates to team and client Considers ideas that could result in additional services Understands our business, how we generate profit, and has the ability to think tactically and act quickly to capitalize on an opportunity Promotes the brand through interacting with clients, recruits and personal network Meets charge hour and realization expectations Conducts self-review to ensure work is complete and no open issues exist Demonstrates ability to review work of associates and interns Demonstrates awareness of Condley's risk management policies and procedures (e.g. client confidentiality, client acceptance) Demonstrates an understanding of and applies tax planning concepts Recognizes the 'go to' professionals in Condley for specialized knowledge Continues to master tax software tools for preparation, review and research Solid understanding of tax codes, regulations, rulings and case law Demonstrates self-awareness of personal strengths and developmental areas Developing strong project management skills - responds to deadlines, works within budget and provides necessary follow-up Develops client / staff relationships at appropriate levels, has a good understanding of the client's tax situation Effectively supervises, trains, mentors and develops associates and senior associates Trains, mentors and develops associates / interns Interacts with all staff and levels Interaction with clients Participates in a variety of non-compliance projects Learns more about the various service lines - what we offer as a firm Tax technical training (including research and writing memos) Master's Degree - helpful Read journals / publications and internal tax and professional publications Training on delivering client service Active in professional development program Networking : community and professional organizations, alumni programs, professional networking websites, etc. Identify mentor(s) - take ownership of career Attend local training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge Study for and take CPA exam

Minimum Entry Requirement
- B.A. / B.S. degree with appropriate accounting hours
- Solid accounting skills
- Comprehensive understanding of tax law / rules and implications
- Experience preparing returns and researching tax issues
