MedStar Medical Group Anesthesiology (MMGA)
is seeking a full-time anesthesiologist with an expertise in
Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain Medicine to be based at MedStar
Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. We have a robust
regional anesthesia program, with over 3,400 blocks performed per
year for our burn, cardiac, orthopedic, plastic, and trauma surgery
patients.
Our Acute Pain Service is an ever-growing part
of our practice, with an emphasis on peripheral nerve and neuraxial
catheter placement, improving the patient experience, and
minimizing opioid utilization.
Regional
anesthesia fellowship or significant experience required.
Common blocks include :
Upper Extremity : Interscalene, Supraclavicular, Infraclavicular,
Axillary, Intercostobrachial
Lower Extremity :
Femoral, Adductor Canal, Sciatic (Subgluteal / Anterior / Popliteal),
PENG, iPACK, Fascia Iliaca, Lateral Femoral Cutaneous
Chest Wall : Parasternal, PECS, Paravertebral,
Erector Spinae Plane, Serratus Anterior Plane
Abdominal : TAP, Rectus Sheath, Quadratus Lumborum,
Ilioinguinal / Iliohypogastric
Misc : Stellate

sites, including 30+ ORs, Endoscopy, EP Lab, and Labor and

This position has a hiring range of $430,000 - $460,000.
