VP People & Culture | Filoli Historic House, Garden and Estate. Become Our Vice President of Marketing : Drive Brand, Growth, and Vision at Filoli. Filoli is a National Trust for Historic Preservation site seeking a visionary leader to shape our future, lead our brand narrative, and deliver measurable revenue growth.
Responsibilities
- Your Mission : As a senior leader reporting to the Chief Experience Officer, you will elevate a mission by executing the Strategic Plan, centered on community connection and supporting a major capital campaign to expand access to nature.
- Define and Execute Strategy : Lead the multi-year marketing vision to significantly grow visitation, revenue, and audience engagement.
- Elevate the Brand : Serve as the chief brand steward, translating Filoli\'s history, nature, and beauty into a compelling, modern consumer narrative.
- Drive Performance : Use data and analytics to set KPIs (visitation, ROI / ROAS, digital conversion) and ensure marketing spend delivers measurable results.
- Lead the Team : Mentor and develop a lean, high-performing marketing team and manage external agency partnerships.
- Brand & Creative Oversight : Champion storytelling that connects with diverse audiences, provide creative direction for campaigns and activations, and lead segmentation and audience development strategies.
- Performance & Accountability : Drive attendance and earned revenue through multi-channel campaigns; oversee budgets across paid, owned, and earned channels; report performance to the CEO and Board.
- Collaboration : Partner with the Executive Team to align marketing with strategic organizational objectives and oversee agency partners for creative, media, and PR to maximize ROI.
The Expertise You Bring
Experience : 10+ years of progressive marketing leadership, ideally within attractions, entertainment, hospitality, or other consumer-facing industries with high-volume marketing.Strategic Acumen : Proven success in multi-year marketing strategies that drive audience and revenue growth.Brand & Digital Mastery : Strong background in brand management, digital marketing, and multi-channel campaign execution.Leadership & Collaboration : Ability to lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team while partnering across senior leadership.Data-Driven Focus : Analytical mindset to shape strategy and report performance to executives.Cultural Commitment : Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion principles, using marketing to build an inclusive and welcoming culture.Our Success Profile

Annual Salary Range : $197,000 to $237,000 (depending on candidate experience)
Reports to : Chief Experience Officer
Schedule : Flexibility to work evenings and weekends to meet business needs.
