Senior Mechanical Engineer

Client is searching for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead building system design of HVAC Plumbing and Fire Protection systems. This is a leadership position to establish the mechanical team for a growing healthcare focused MEP firm with a quick path to equity.

Responsibilities

• Establish an HVAC Plumbing & Fire Protection team.
• Manage and mentor 4 junior engineers.
• Develop technical deliverables; including construction plans & specifications.
• Coordinate with clients on project requirements and status updates.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies to understand local permitting requirements and submit permit documents for review and approval.
• Perform construction administration duties; including attending and documenting project meetings conducting site visits reviewing shop drawings and assisting with the development of change order closeout and other construction documentation.
• Perform onsite construction observation and inspection.
